School Uniform
We are delighted to introduce our new school uniform from September 2026. The new uniform reflects the high aspirations we have for every child and supports our commitment to presenting a smart, consistent and professional image across our school community.
We recognise that introducing a new uniform represents a financial commitment for families. For this reason, we have deliberately kept the majority of items unbranded and have planned a phased implementation to allow parents time to make the transition.
September 2026
From the beginning of the Autumn Term 2026, we expect all new uniform purchases to be in line with the new uniform policy.
We appreciate that many families may already have existing items that are still in good condition. Therefore, during the 2026–2027 academic year, children may continue to wear existing uniform items alongside the new uniform while these are gradually replaced.
However, we do expect to see a significant majority of children wearing the new uniform from September, particularly where families are purchasing replacement items over the summer.
September 2027
Throughout the 2026–2027 academic year, we ask that any uniform items needing to be replaced are replaced with the new uniform specification.
September 2028
From September 2028, the transition period will end and all children will be expected to wear the new school uniform in full. At this point, the new uniform policy will become fully established and all aspects of the uniform will be expected without exception.
Jewellery must not be worn. Studs are permissible in pierced ears but must be removed for all physical education activities. In cases where ears have been recently pierced, they may be taped for the first six weeks. Children with long hair must have it tied up during physical education for safety reasons.
Please make sure all items of clothing, including coats are named.
Personal items brought into school by a pupil remain the child’s responsibility, not the responsibility of staff.

Throughout this process, we have sought to make purchasing school uniform as straightforward as possible by keeping the number of suppliers to a minimum. After careful consideration, we are recommending Next as our preferred supplier, as it offers a high-quality, reliable uniform, has the convenience of a local store and also provides online ordering.
Whilst similar items are available from other retailers, the most important consideration is that the uniform matches the agreed school colour of maroon (polo shirts and summer dresses). We have deliberately moved away from the brighter shades of red, and it is essential that any uniform purchased reflects this change. Choosing the correct maroon shade will ensure a consistent appearance across the school and reinforce a strong sense of identity, pride and belonging for all of our children.
The only exceptions are the grey trousers, grey shorts and grey skirt, which may be purchased from any retailer. We recognise that many families may already own these items, and we are keen to ensure that the transition to the new uniform is as straightforward and cost-effective as possible.
Please ensure that V-neck jumpers and/or cardigans are dark grey. Please note that the maroon polo shirts are listed in the boys' section on the Next website. However, they are a standard unisex fit and are suitable for both boys and girls. Maroon summer dresses are available from Next, Sainsbury’s, Argos and Amazon. The maroon and grey striped elasticated tie (Years 3-6 only) are available from Amazon- (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Striped-School-Children-wedding-necktie/dp/B07FDNGT4H/ref=asc_df_B07FDNGT4H?mcid=3829c181bc4f3cf3b5fd4546ee8cdcf0&tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=697289315705&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=5568043279172967036&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9254733&hvtargid=pla-697914144925&hvocijid=5568043279172967036-B07FDNGT4H-&hvexpln=0&gad_source=1&th=1 )
